Finding information on an author

Check the catalogue on the Library’s homepage, search for the author’s name by subject

Check the author blurb – often on the first page of their novel.

Have a look at the State Library explore! Internet and Online Resources page > ‘Books, Mags and Lit.’ has lots of info. (You may need your State Library card for access)

Try these search strategies:

Google the author’s name and hit the ‘I feel lucky’ button. This usually gets the author’s own web site.

Enter a complete phrase: "Tim Winton"

Enter a phrase and keywords: review: "Lockie Leonard"

Check for articles on eLibrary and Australia/NZ Reference Centre via the Databases page on the Library website.

Don’t forget to ask for help in the Library!
