| The
ALIA
2008 Biennial Conference was held from the 2–5
September 2008, at the Alice Springs Convention Centre,
Alice Springs. The Conference theme was dreaming08. The
word “dream” was used to represent areas of interest in
our work but it also linked those ideas with the
traditional owners of the land, the Arrernte people, and
Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islanders from all over the

Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Library, Information and
Resource Network (ATSILIRN) conference
was held in Darwin from 8-9 April 2008.
